EXPERIMENTAL MAINTENANCE INSPECTION TRAINING
In-person, practical light-sport repairman inspection (LSRI) training for eligible experimental aircraft owners. Build confidence in inspections, documentation and the responsibilities that come with aircraft ownership.
WHAT IS AN LSRI?
An inspection-rated repairman (light-sport) certificate may allow a qualifying owner to perform the annual condition inspection on eligible experimental light-sport and experimental amateur-built aircraft they own, subject to their category/class privileges and the aircraft's operating limitations.
EMIT training covers applicable regulations, inspection procedures, documentation, recordkeeping, and practical aircraft-inspection knowledge.
Training alone does not grant inspection privileges. Applicants must meet FAA requirements, complete an FAA-accepted course and test, and receive the appropriate certificate. Aircraft operating limitations can also affect authorization.
THE EMIT COURSE
Start with the core material, then build confidence through practical examples and real-world scenarios.
Applicable regulations, certificate privileges, owner responsibilities, and operating considerations.
